max drive not working...

Ok, so I want to transfer some files from my computer to my PS2, so I put the files onto my max drive, and then put my max drive into the PS2's USB port, and insert the CD and start it up. The problem is, it doesn't let me go to the main menu! It always starts up and says "Memory card activated... insert PS2 game now", and it REALLY ****** me off because: A. I have no idea what it's talking about and B. I need to get to the damn main menu.

Does anyone know what's going on? I haven't tried anything to fix it because I have no idea why it's not working, I can't think of any logical reason why it shouldn't work.

if you're using the original max drive software (not AR Max), you're pressing start to skip the stupid intro advertisement, arent you?

thats the only thing that prompts that message. you can press X to skip it and it'll be just fine.

Your right, that was it. Stupid thing, who would've thought that would make a difference. Anyway, thanks a ton Valk, your a lifesaver.

Make sure you read the max drive article on the site before using your max drive. the thing can destroy your memory card if you're not careful
