As long as an RPG doesn't make me grind too much, I'll complete it. Sometimes there are RPGs that are good in story, mechanics, graphics... but for some reason, I don't complete them. In my case:
Ultima 9. Actually a good RPG, but the very choppy animation made me forfeit it.
Dragon Quest 7. After 90+ hours of play, my memory card died. $%^$# I restarted, but I just can't play all that again!
Dragon Quest 8. Nice RPG... until I came to a place where I grind-grind-grind.
Atelier Iris. Too bad. I liked this one.
Ogre Battle 64. Not a strict RPG... it was a good game, but never finished. A friend, on the other hand, finished it multiple times, with a different ending each.
Phantasy Star. Nice game, but a bit too dry in modern context.
Disgaea 2. I actually like the panel and throw mechanics... dunno about the story. The item worlds / subpoenas are a bit too random/messy, and too long.
FF8. After I had a bunch of nice cards, I lost a lot of them to an opponent. It had been quite a while before I saved. I smashed the controller. First AND last time. Never played again.
Vagrant Story. Hmm... dunno.
Morrowind. This is actually a nice game. It is an epic game. In earlier years I would have absorbed myself into it. But now I won't.
Diablo II. I played this like crazy... made it somewhat near the end. And then just stopped playing.
Chrono Cross. Good RPG. I liked the magic system... until I came to grind-grind-grind.
Tales of Destiny. Good game. I don't remember why I stopped playing.
I have a few more to list but I'll stop now. Most of my collection is RPG-based, and I refuse to sell unless I need the money. For FFXII, I think I'll sell Disgaea 2.
I probably finish about a third of the RPGs I play, methinks.
