I made a game for RPG Maker 2 when it came out. I spent 100 hours on it and only got a 1 hour game out of that (it did have lots of little cinematics though). This time around, I was more interested in telling a story, and RPGM3 seemed like the better choice for doing just that.
And while the storyteller in RPGM3 is fun, and the ease of programming the game is a welcome change, the strict limitations set on the developer (mostly in regards to the battle system, which I really do hate, and the less good music, character alterability, and the LOW LOW number of 'decorations' with which to brighten up your environments), have left me feeling that, though making my game in RPGM2 will take much, much longer, it will be more worth it in the end.
Thus, fellow boardees, I bid you farewell. If there are any still around that wouldn't mind answering some questions (which I'm sure will come up, considering it's RPGM2 we're talking about!), I will be posting on the RPGM2 board, dead as it may be.
Enjoy making your games!
