Final Fantasy XII released early!

GASP!

I haven't heard official word from Square or EBGames, but apparently a lot of people preordered XII, and EBGames/GameStop shipped it before it was legally released, so they got it a week before it is supposed to be released.

Seems like a pretty big deal for people to preordered it and paid an extra $10 to have it shipped to their home, and others who preordered it got it a week early. I myself didn't pay the extra $10 to have it shipped to my mailbox, but I'm still disapointed that numerous people are (and have been), enjoying this game before I could get my hands on it- and I'm getting it the day it comes out!

Seems SE is having a lot of trouble these days with XII, with the leak, and now this.

I dunno, but it ****** me off. This takes all the magic out of getting this game for me. When I preorder something, getting it and playing it the first day is very special, it's like playing a piece of history. There may be thousands of other people who buy the game on it's launch day, but being one of those people, one of the first customers to buy and play it, feels special.

But people screw up and "accidentally" release the game ahead of time, so when I get it, it's won't seems special, it won't seems "new", it'll seem old hat, like I'm jumping into it a week late.

Already I can go to gamefaqs and look at entire walkthroughs for the game, a week before it's supposed to be released. Oh well.

I understand the concern, because I'm a little bummed too, but really, you're getting the exact same experience even if someone else played it first.

Boy, I hope those stores like paying out of their asses because they sold the game early. They better pray they don't get caught.

Eh, I've waited this long I can wait the last week or whatever. Whenever Gamestop calls me I'll go pick it up.

Oh god, if i cant play the game on the first day, it changes the whole game completely! Seriously, all the whinning about not getting it early is a pretty stupid claim. Paying 10$ for best shipping doesnt promise you that you will get it fast, mail can easily be delayed by weather or other various problems.

I seriously dont see why people are getting pissy over it....jealousy i presume?

The game is already sitting in some stores. The stores are just not allowed to sell them until Tuesday.
