    About Launckpads

    Hey, guys, I have a question for those who tried this out before me.

    You see, in my game I was planing to make my character stay on the first field until he finishes all what he can/must do there (obtain the treasure item for the story, meets her new companion, etc).

    So, the question is: Can I close the launchpads until an event ocures? If I can close it, How? In the Example Game, the launchpads are closed for unknow reasons, so I though I would close them too.

    You could put an invisible event in front of the entrance to the launchpad, and have it say something like, "You are not ready to use the launchpad yet." Just remember to use the movement command to move the character away from the event, or they will be able to walk right through it. Then when the time comes (after finding the treasure and meeting the companion), use an event to turn the display off, so the character will be able to walk through and get to the hooded guy running the launchpad.

        The launchpads in the example game don't work because they don't go anywhere.
        "What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

          you could put like perversion said an invisible event, but also place a guy in front saying the launchpad is closed for repairs....gives the game a little better feel then having the game tell you you cant go that way

            I think I`ll make a Treasure Item called "Passport" or "Ticket" to let my character use the launchpads, and then make my character have it after finishing all his missions.
            I`m writting this in any case you guys like this idea and try to do it for your games.

              Yeah, that's a cool idea. I'm using that one too. My character has to have a passport in order to get on a balloon that takes him to the next world. I have some of those quarry stones leaving just a small opening. and there is a little pedestal there that the passport is inserted into, allowing you entrance into the launchpad area.
