Reliving the 16-bit Era: Sega Genesis

Recently I picked up a ton of games for my old Genesis. I blew the years of dust off the system, plugged it in, and had at it.

My favorite games on the Genesis after playing all of them(and remembering the old great games I had played before):

Beavis & Butthead: Yeah, I know, it's a game based on what might have been the dumbest cartoon ever, but surprisingly, it's a game that is kind of clever in its design.

Phantasy Star 4: Great old-school RPG here. Alys remains my fave female RPG character(with slashers, fire techniques, and those measurements!).

Cadash: This game is older than dirt, but it's kinda cool in that it's a side-scrolling platformer with RPG stuff.

Streets of Rage 2: The best game in the best beat-em-up series ever. Axel's attack cry is instantly memorable(really cool or extremely grating, depending on whom you talk to).

Finally, Revenge of Shinobi: How cool was this game. Any game that has Spider-Man as a level boss is just... cool.

What was your favorite Sega Genesis game? Discuss.

Revenge of Shinobi ROCKED. SPIDER-MAN TURNED INTO BATMAN

And Beavis & Butt-head is all kinds of brilliant. I couldn't appreciate that when I was younger but I can certainly see that now.

Oh, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. 'NUFF SAID.

I agree with Mora on this one. I have the Genesis version.

And dont' forget Altered Beast(only with two people) and Kid Chameleon.

Those games(especially the latter) kicked ass.

...You guys are kidding, right? The Genesis version of Mortal Kombat 2, with it's lack of audio and graphical powress of the SNES version is somehow better than it?

Did you guys also play it on the standard 3 button controller?

Oh, and don't forget Shining Force I/II, of course.

                      And the Sonic games.

On the six-button, it's superb. And I think the Genesis got some secret perks.

I've only played Sonic 1, Paperboy, and Phantasy Star IV on Genesis. Oh, and Sonic 2, but only at a demo kiosk.
