    Pandable News (Opinions Needed)

    three things:

One, an independant film company in germany that's just getting off the ground is releasing a short (30 min) film on halloween, for which I did the soundtrack. I'll link it here when it's up. But for now, here's the site..

    http://www.mantis-pictures.com

Two: below are two parts of a song. I need you people to tell me which tempo works best for the song. I uploaded the parts at different tempos, obviously. I realize that the first part of the song I uploaded has more to it musically than the second part - ignore that. I just need feedback on the tempo.

    fast tempo: http://www.mytempdir.com/1018637
    slower tempo: http://www.mytempdir.com/1018642

three: Below are clips from more songs i'm working on. They'll all be finished at this point, but I thought i'd do an exhibition of stuffs-in-thee-works.

Another song from my militaristic project:

    Militarism again:

The last militaristic one: (ignore the snares at the end on this, they're going away in the finished version)

The remainder are from my more peaceful normal self:

    Tidal Implications (short clip)
a short clip off of a future album i'm doing using ambient music and ethnic percussion. should be nice if it keeps up like this song is.

Untitled Dub Track (REALLY short clip)
a short clip of a dub track i'm working on (dub - i.e. reggae with no lyrics). I wish I could make this stuff more often, but it rarely comes out.

These last few are all clips from my upcoming Music for Megacorporations album, which is minimal/ambient techno.

Enjoy all that. Tell me if there's one you really like, and i'll try to finish it up quicker than the rest... and give me feedback about the tempo of the first one.

    Thanks!

      There's about a 10 bpm difference.

          Eh, it's fine. *shrug*

Does the song itself sound ok, instrument wise?
I'm worried about the organ in the background being too muffled. I mean, I muffled it on purpose, but I don't want it to be... like, totally unable to be payed attention to.

I couldn't tell the difference between the first two samples either, but my initial reaction was in favor of the second version.

The second and third militaristic songs sound promising. I enjoyed the ambient music more, especially "tidal implications," and "approaching." The other ones were fine, the aforementioned tracks just stood out more.

The reggae clip was too short!!! :P

Well, I'm pretty big into music, especially technical aspects.

The muffled organ sounds a lot better in the fast version, even though there is just a small difference in tempo, but it also might be brought out more by the other instruments.

I think the second one would sound better if the organ was just slightly more clear.

Overall I like this stuff a lot though. I'll listen to the rest soon.

I am in love with the percussion in the dub track.
