    Marvel Ultimate Alliance!

This game looks rad. So many characters! I'm getting it for 360.

The only thing I don't like is only 1 player per console for online multiplayer.

Me and a friend got it today, and we were on XBox live trying it out, so far it's really good stuff and makes me happy with comic book nerd pride....

If anything I will get the Wii version.

Bust most likely I won't get any.

I love how in the commercials The Thing does the Roller Bomb Special (or whatever the name is) with Wolverine.

Quick question...why??? Having played it quite a bit for 360, I can only imagine playing it for the Wii would be annoying as hell, waving your arms for every hit or something.

Of course, I plead ignorance of how it really plays. Can anyone point me toward an article?

WHY 360?! Pressing buttons all over the place in order to land a punch would be annoying! I mean, maybe I will get a PS3, that way I can grill burgers while playing.

Nobody here is knocking 360, but people that don't want one maybe would want a Wii or PS3 instead, thus they would get that version.

Here is an article on how it will work.

Almost all moves, meanwhile, are performed via gestures with the Wii-mote. You can gently shake the remote left and right to execute a normal attack, which may cause your character to relentlessly unload a regular style punch and combo. Interestingly, you can also simply tap the A button if you'd prefer not to do that. Pull back on the wii-mote and your hero will go into an uppercut. Make a football throwing motion with the peripheral and your character will slam down on opponents. Sweep dramatically left or right with the controller and more powerful moves, like leg sweeps, are executed. On paper, this all seems very natural, but if you've been raised on button-mashers you'll need to forget everything you've learned over the years just to grasp the new control concept.
There you go, no wild arm motion there, but the person was still a little shaky on the Wii controller. Think of it what you will.

Yes, because slightly contracting the muscles in your thumb is such a pain in the ass.

In all fairness, flicking your hand to the side and whatnot probably isn't that strenuous, but if a motion just activates the same effect of a button press, then I can't see it having that much of an effect for me. I see the wiimote having more potential in its motion sensing capabilities and representing it on screen rather than activating a command and playing out an animation.

Besides, I don't hate the Wii, I just don't like Nintendo's Republican-esque business practices and PR moves. I'll probably be getting one at launch.

The reason I prefer the 360 version is because it pleases my eyes and ears more, and I can play online with my brother and friends who are at inconvenient distances. I don't have friends who can come over conveniently for multiplayer, and if they do come over, they don't always want to play something. This is why XBox Live is my Jesus.

Hey Jeroak, I'm available the most on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I'll try to get on this weekend though.

If I get a 360, which I'm about 50/50 on at this point I guess, I'd get it on there. But if now I'd get the Wii version. Although reading that about the controls, even though it's only slight movements, it does sound a little offputting.

I'll try and be on this weekend, and tuesday and thursday nights (except for CSI) are my most free nights, so hopefully we can beat up some baddies.

                              the game looks great!
