Regarding using Save Games in Playtesting.

Hello. In RPGM2, if you had a save that you were using to playtest, and then you created a new character, and then, using that save, you got to the point of the game where that character joins your party, the game would freeze. This was due to the fact that the save data needed to know FROM THE GAME START what potential party members might join.

Does RPGM3 have anything like that? Are there any alterations that one can make that will NOT take effect unless you start a new game?

For example, I have a dungeon door which requires a key. Now, the save I'm using to playtest this area was created before the dungeon, and when I go to the door (even though I don't have the key in my inventory), it gives me the message that, even though the door is locked, I can open it. Now, all locked doors in the outside world work fine... it's just this one door. It may be a glitch, but I thought I'd just throw this out and see if anyone has encountered anything that require a gamerestart to take effect.

    Thanks!

This is what I was asking about on my thread right below called playtesting help. Check it out. I was having the same problem. It is very annoying.

have u created a key for the door? and if so, did you select that door for that specific key? or maybe when u playtested, you forgot to just set that door with a key in the first place?

i dont know, everything ive playtested regaurding doors have worked fine, locked or unlocked, just be sure to select the specific door for the key you made thats required to unlock it.

I wasn't aware of that problem. You sure it wasn't something else?
