    Playstation 3- almost here.

I am excited about the ps3 that is almost here. This system should help make it easier for more folks like me to be able to make our Rpg's and share them with others.

It comes with a web browser and backwards compatability for the games.

It has been a long time since I have visited here (mostly due to job change). I just wanted to say HI to everyone! sooo umm HI!

Before I recognized that you had been here before, I thought you were a forum plant.

I dunno, it's kinda related to RPGM. But not RPGM3 in particular, more like RPGM in general.

As long as he speaks about RPGMaker, then I'll let it stay. But I personally don't believe that a RPGMaker will use the online features.

          They haven't on the PS2.

Sorry, I didn't mean to put this in the wrong forum.
At least the way they are setting it up where the ps3 has a web browser, you can at least upload your files to the pavilion from your ps3, at the very least even if they don't support it, it can be on the same machine.

The other nice feature is that with a 60 gb hard drive you are going to have lots of room to create a nice big adventure.

Now if they can only find a way to mix rpg maker xp and rpg maker 3.
I realize no one knows what is going on, and they don't even know if there is a new release in the horizon for the series, but it does not stop me from wishing.

I think because of what Sony did to Lik-Sang, we are a little bit less caring for PS3's RPGM abilities right now.

                ahhh. My bad.
                heh
that was pretty messed up what Sony did, and I don't really want to get into it, I was just getting excited and hoping that someone here might now something about a new rpgmaker coming down the pipeline. The Age-tec forum is dead, and I am WAYYYYY out of the loop.

That's assuming that the RPGM doesn't have a memory limit. To date, neither of the 3D RPGMs allowed you to create a game larger than 1/3 of a memory card.

i think the entire series should be revamped and developed from the ground up, instead of working off the same database, like taking this game, and refreshing what wasnt used. just create a new game, new hardware, and go from scratch, so that way its indirectly restarting the series, just with a different number, like 4 instead of 1.

As far as I know, that's how they've been doing it with the console RPGMs, starting from scratch.

I'll probably get a PS3 also. The web browser will make it more easier to trade files and such.

You'd still have to submit games using a file transfer device in a zip file. I don't think this place or the Mag would accept bare-bones RPGM files. But I could be wrong.
