                Actually I think we would, but the people in control of who gets the main campagn funding wouldn't allow it.

                    Obama would at least prove to be a litmus test to see if republicans are willing to sink low enough to make an issue of his name.. I know this has been addressed by other posters in here, but what i'm saying is, if they DO level ads against his name - that's going to cost them a lot of votes. The public won't go for that. It'll be a show of their true character, that's for sure.

                    Not that the dems are that much better. Just saying.

                        I think Obama would be an amazing president. He seems to have his head in the right place and care more about doing what's best for the country than what's best for his career or his ego unlike most politicians. I doubt his name would really be used like that in campaigns but I'm sure the late night talk shows would run with it. And as Howard Dean found out that can be more damaging than any official smear campaign. YAAAAHHHH!!!

                          I'm kinda hoping for Joe Biden. I'm sure someone here can tell me he sucks for some reason, but so far everything I've seen him interviewd on he seems like a real decent guy and a smart politician.
