    Avoiding "miss"

Hi. I can't stand it when you miss in battle... it just irks me... In the RPGM3 manual, it says that AGI is linked to dodge rate... I've been thinking that perhaps the best way to stop characters and enemies from missing (so damn much) is to give everyone really low AGI stats, such as +1 a level with incedental increases throughout the game... this, however, would only work if 'hit rate' is not linked to AGI as well (as it is in some RPGs)...

Has anyone tried this? Any other ideas concerning stating for this game would be great (as we really don't have any other way of managing the battle system... [too bad])

Ive found the best way to accomplish this is to give the enemies low luck and AGI points and give the player higher agi and luck stats

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

I think the "miss" thing deppends on the difference between your character´s AGI and the enemy´s.

the AGI is the speed your bar fills up til your next attack(agility=speed), if your AGI is 30 and the enemy is 14, you will attack at a ratio of 2:1, although this can be possibly used in combination with luck, as to how fast you can move to miss a attack is still undetermined, i think it depends on the game played

Luck is based on probability, such as an enemy dropping an item, gettin poisoned by an attack, landing a critical hit, dodging a hit, escaping a battle, etc..., the higher the luck, the higher probability of you having the upper hand in a random decision

Though giving the enemy low luck and agi would definetely mean that you'd hit them, it wouldn't solve the problem of them hitting you. I was thinking that giving everyone really low agi stats might solve the problem, but I hadn't considered luck... thanks!

true, but you can change the stats on both to suit what you need

I learned about the luck thing when ff7 first came out, everyone was like "whats luck for?" and someone gave me the same description that i just gave you

thanks for the thanks and glad i could help
