I'm interested in a tablet: Help me out!

I know a few of you that own and use tablets for your art. I've been interested in a tablet for a long time now but never seemed to go ahead and buy one. I have read a few things on the net saying the smallest tablet isn't worth getting or the larger ones are too big and so on and so on. What are your opinions? Thanks!

I have I think it's a 4x6 tablet and it's just fine. On a normal monitor the 4x6 pad took place of the entire screen (no scrolling) and that was difficult to get used to. Once I got a widescreen that was a different aspect ratio though, the tablet readjusted to be only a portion of the screen, which was a lot easier.

I just bought a 4x6 today from best buy, they're on sale for 80 bucks right now.

I actually have a smaller wacom and it works wonderfully for me. The biggest thing I would always reccomend is to get a Wacom Tablet. They are basically the best in the buisness. :P And do some research too, generally you can find a good Graphire 3 (the one I have) for about 80 bucks.

Definately get one. It'll help you greatly.

do not buy anything from Adesso. tablet sucks, their pen needs a battery, and their customer service sucks.

            Wacom FTW!

I like using my standard mouse to draw, but a tablet makes it easier.

Took me years of practice to draw with a mouse.

But yeah. Go for a tablet. I wish I did.
Despite what you think, I am very, very real.

Yeah, I was only really looking at WACOMs products. There's something on their product site that confused me. What's the difference between the Graphire line and the Intuos line? Does the Intuos line just offer more features and are meant for a more professional level?. And the 4x6 Intuos starts at 250 clams, a little more than what I want to pay.

                Here's the link: Wacom.

That sell expired at Best Buy, so the price went back to 105$. I went to Amazon and purchased a 4x5 Graphire4 for 85$. It’s pretty awesome. This is the first sketch I drew with the tablet.

At first I was just drawing some hippie and then I added the guitar instead of a gun. For some reason I had the Bill Hicks comedy segment about "government approved rock n roll." So I added a cheesy American flag in the background. It’s pretty much what all county music is now days. What would George Bush want me to listen to? It's hilarious.

I figure i'm preaching to the choir by now, but WACOM rocks.
