    FEARLESS

I saw it. It was ok. I was surprised when I learned that it was PG-13 at the beginning.

The story starts out ok, but gets worse after the halfway point. Jet Li's character undergoes such a large change in (what I felt was) such a short time that I couldn't help but feel it was hokey (despite it being a true story?).

But hey, it's a kung fu (Wuuuuushuuuu) movie. The action itself is awesome and worth seeing, and the fights are as emotional as they are spectacular, especially since there's very little to no CGI special effects. I felt it was worth it.
    ...and that's why.

The fights were pretty cool but for god's sake I wish they would've saved that "slow down then speed up" camera effect **** for crap like the next Saw movie or something.

That story also couldn't have been more predictable if they threw in a car chase in act 3.

Its worth seeing once for the fighting but I wouldn't watch it again.

So was Li's last martial arts movie truly his best, as the advertisement's said? Doesn't sound like it.

Well, I don't know much 'bout Jet Li. I thought it was pretty swell.

Hero. Hero is his best, in my opinion. BUT I HAVEN'T SEEN FEARLESS YET SO WHAT DO I KNOW?

At least Nathan Jones didn't break the leading man's nose this time like he did in Troy

Nathan Jones can break whatever he damn well pleases.

                EXCEPT TONY JAA.

Holy ****, I loved the fighting scenes in Fearless. The weapon-based stuff at the beginning was such a great hook. And seeing Nathan Jones even BIGGER and more SHIRTLESS than ever was a real rush!! GOD. That was a great fight.

The fighting was awesome but I couldn't help but think "Hm, damn, Tony Jaa could do this for REAL." It was no Protector, but still entertaining though.

And my god, Springfield! That blind chick stuff should've stayed on the cutting room floor.

                In my bed.

                With me.

Tony Jaa isn't all that great, Magus.

I beg to differ. Can Jet-Li do this?!

                      Re: FEARLESS

What happen to Martial Arts movies where it was just the fighting. No fancy camera tricks, or wire-flying. Just kick the other guy's butt. Throw in a fancy super technique here and there, but keep it simple.

                          Then let's split the genre.

Sappy, colorful wire-fu on one hand.

                          Real ass-kicking on the other.

Jet Li's fun and all but Tony Jaa can set his legs on fire and kick out a streetlamp.

Caciss, Tony Jaa is the REAL DEAL.
