    Stupid Computer Troubles

I'm trying to reinstall Windows because my network settings got all screwed up and I can't connect to the internet anymore, and now I'm stuck. The installation is asking for a driver on a certain CD, which I don't have with me in my dorm. The biggest problem though, is it's not recognizing my keyboard or mouse, so I can't just cancel out or point to it on my hard drive.

What to do, what to do...

Do you know anyone else that might have a keyboard or a mouse or maybe even a copy of windows you can use? Like maybe a roomate or whatever? That's all I can think of...

Hmm that is odd, if you have a USB keyboard that is probably the problem there, so find someone with a PS/2 one you can borrow. Windows doesn't like to recognize USB keyboards the first time you use them, and normally they won't work until you boot up into windows once with it plugged in, and keep it plugged into the same USB slot (apparently putting it on another slot requires you to install it for that slot). As for the mouse I don't know many that the install shouldn't recognize (maybe the driver is on the CD that came with your mouse). But I would say try to find someone with a PS/2 Mouse and Keyboard, or find some cheap ones online (should be able to get both for $10). Other than that look for what driver you need and download it (google the file name) to a floppy, or CD and try putting those in when it asks for the driver.
