Canadian Troops Battle Marijuana Forests In Afghanistan.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."Tags: None

Re: Canadian Troops Battle Marijuana Forests In Afghanistan.
My favorite plant. You can make biodiesel from it for the equivalent of $.60/gallon, make plastics from it, make clothing from it, it yields 300 kg of seed oil per hectare per harvest, has an energy return of energy invested of around 6 to 8(on par with sugarcane ethanol), can be used as a feedstock that petroleum and natural gas is commonly used for, and too boot, you can smoke it without any serious side effects... It is a plant that could greatly mitigate the effects of global warming, and a plant our Founding Fathers encouraged the cultivation of.
It's no wonder that certain industries lobby to keep it outlawed and no wonder the oil-whores that compose our government never want marijuana or its non-intoxicating industrial hemp counterpart to ever be legally cultivated. It threatens to reduce the flow of our money to some very rich people. Why, they'd rather kill people in the middle east to secure more oil so that we can pay out the ass for it, than to see their profit margins decline...The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder." ~ Thomas Jefferson
