    I don't like RPG Maker 3

I bought it. It's simple, but it's so simple it strips away alot of the customization abilities...

I don't understand how switches work now, either, what's all this about they only go in dungeons? How am I supposed to burn my town down!!!!?

    Ahhh... Oh well. Hi.

Hey! It's cutter! People have been asking where you were, like Hikari.

Working, and my shift that they have me work doesn't let me get to the library, and my mother broke the computer months and months and months ago.

We had a crew meeting this morning though, so I managed to get to the library.

If you were around more often, you'd hear all the complaints about RPGM3's limitations.

There's no fire. All I need is a flame, an ember, something... I get a freakin' bonfire which isn't even lit.

That's a pretty sucky bonfire, then. But really, you could have looked around here to find out how good RPGM3 isn't, first.

Well, you could always set the time to evening for a red glow and use fog in place of smoke.

                  Hi Cutter De Blanc,

RPG Maker 3 is limited. You've got to kind of work around it if you can. And as many will tell you, in RPG Maker 2 you can make fire and smoke and whatever you want, but you're not working with RPG Maker 2, so here are some things you might want to try to mess around with in the game you have (which is a good game by the way in spite of its limitations).

Fire and Smoke in a town.
-use several (four or five) "bonfire" graphics (don't use the woodpile graphics-those are the unlit ones) under the "lumber" graphic to make it look the logs are all on fire.
-place a "bonfire" graphic inside of a "wooden box 2" graphic to make the box be lit on fire.
-use the smoke signal event inside of some of the "house" graphics to make it look like they're smoking.
-set the season to winter (which makes everything look like its covered in ash)

Fire and Smoke in a field (around your town graphic)
-you can bury the "bonfire" and "smoke signal" graphics to make it look like the ground around the town is smoking and on fire.

It's not going to be perfect, but it'll get the point across.
