    Games for October

Well! October's here, and I got a nice monetary bonus from my job. And my friend offered to help me pay for FFXII CE because these days he's being awfully generous. This means I get to pay my expenses and have money left over to invest in a few games.

There are some new releases for October that I'm interested in getting. One of them is Tales of the Abyss--I hear that's good, yet I've never played any of the Tales games before. Phantasy Star Universe is also a good choice as well--and I know a lot of you are looking forward to that. As am I.

Apart from FFXII CE, they are the only ones I can think of that are of considerable interest. If I decide not to get them, then I've got older releases in mind: Legend of Kay, Ratchet and Clank, and the Devil May Cry Greatest Hits 3-game set. (That isn't exactly a new release--just a re-release of the three DMCs.)

Setting aside FFXII for the moment, what do you think of October's new game releases? You think I should invest in a new release, or just keep scrounging for older titles?
Despite what you think, I am very, very real.

I suppose now would be the best time to scrounge since all the new stuff is pushing stuff off shelves.

    Myself, I'm getting FF12 CE.

Legend of Kay? You're such a furry.

Anyway, I'll probably end up getting Contact for DS, and probably get caught up in the hype of Final Fantasy 12, so I'll porbably get that as well. I might give Phantasy Star Universe for 360 a look. Mortal Kombat will be a rental first, and I hope the Xbox version is backwards compatible with the 360 (probably not). I'll have to rent Godhand cuz that looks hilarious.

Actually, this month isn't as packed as I thought it would be. Next month, though, GEARS OF WAR! GUITAR HERO II!!!

I didn't even know that there were games coming out this month. So, nothing that I'm interested. Unless Ape Escape: Million Monkeys comes out this month, but that won't happen.

I am getting Tales of the Abyss, Devil Summoner, and Phantasy Star Universe for PS2.

I would recomend getting the PS2 version of PSU Kire, if you want to play with us, or the PC version. Since the 360 version is a seperate server, which really sucks.

I am really looking forward to Tales and Devil Summoner. I've been longing for a good rpg.

I am holding off FF12 until it gets thrown in the pre-played game section in the upcoming months.

I'm going to look at Contact and Children of Mana for DS, Mortal Kombat and FF12 for PS2, and Zelda for GC.

I'll definatly have to look at the pros and cons of getting a Wii for Zelda vs just the GC version. And I'm hesitantly looking at Superman Returns.

Contact for the DS, and possibly Clubhouse Games for the DS...it's about 42 card and board games, and it is WiFi compatible. I know I can probably play these same games on a computer online for free, but I do not have a computer, hence my interest in this. Plus, I'm really hankering for a good game of Othello. I have not tried the RPGM2 version yet, as I do not know if you can play against the computer or not. I'd really like FFXII, but I'll probably wait until it goes Greatest Hits.

Here's a screen of the chat function of Clubhouse Games...notice the "Shake Soda for Massive Damage"

Yeah Kire, you better get the PC or PS2 version, we need you in the team.

Oh, and Legend of Kay is a very good game, save for the voice acting. So call me a furrie (are dragons considered furries? or would they be scalies?)

I'm looking forward to Tales, PSU, FFXII, and NWN2. And i cant spend a damn penny, although i'll find a way to get PSU.

Damn.....all this time I was thinking only of a few releases. You guys got me interested in a few MORE choices now!

I hear God Hand is supposed to be a fun brawler in the vein of DMC, but I had no idea it was going to be released this month. Oh, and I totally forgot Children of Mana was ALSO coming out this month, as well as Magical Starsign. If anyone needs me, I'll be quietly slapping my own face. :O

I know. But the game looks so fun though!

Yeah, I hear the voice acting sucks. Something about Kay's delivery and a whole lot of "cheesebreath". And dragons are considered scalies. A furry dragon is a rarity in the crazy world we live in.

I'm strapped for cash right now. I'm saving up for a Wii. I already have 210$ saved up. But this month I'm gonna get Bully. I want to get PSU, but don't have the money to poney up 60 bucks and then play another 15$ a month. Well, I kind of do, but I'm on a budget.

There are far too many titles that I want to get this and next month. But Bully looks to be the only one I'm willing to go a little bit out of my budget for. I'd get FFXII, but I am already knee deep in Baten Kaitos Origins, and I doubt once I am done with that I will have it in me to play through another gargantuan rpg.
