Re: Somebody's Getting Fired.
I'm not even interested in stealing this game, that's how dissapointed I was with 8-10. They should just combine 6 and 7 into some kind of bizzare storyline and make Cecil the main character."At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

Re: Somebody's Getting Fired.
No it's not. You the player are making the choices and setting up the gambits. Just because the game follows a script doesn't mean it's playing itself or that all the control is out of the player's hands. Square is getting away from the press x to attack, press x to attack, press down, x to use cure magic, press x to attack that's definded J-RPGs up to this point. So in turn, the game plays itself.

Re: Somebody's Getting Fired.
Yup, it means I'll potentially be making a whole lot more use out of non-curative spells.
But that's not what this topic is about. What I'm wondering is, how exactly are they doing this? I thought it wasn't possible to emulate PS2 games due to the complexities of the Emotion Engine or something like that."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Somebody's Getting Fired.
From what I gather, they're not emulating it, they're just providing a rip of the game, which you have to burn to dvd and play on a modded ps2.
It's not a functional game which works on your computer, just the data from the original game, still in ps2-usable form.man your own jackhammer
man your battle stations
we'll have you dead pretty soon...

Re: Somebody's Getting Fired.
From the previews, I've heard that at the start of the game gambits make progressing kind of brainless, but later on enemies will get hard enough to make the system more of a necessity.
Can't believe the game got leaked though. Looks like we'll see strat guides even sooner.Last edited by Crimson Knight; 10-03-2006, 04:13 PM.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."
