Man, for that money you could have built one damn fine machine.

Does 2-3 day shipping enhance the performance of the computer?

Tis very true. But it's a laptop so that adds at least $500 to the price right there. It's still pretty good since the Core 2 Duos really are the best processor out there now. Intel finally did something right. You would think they could put at least a 7200 RPM drive in laptops now, since desktops can now handle 10K RPM ones. And only a 15" screen, boo.

But most of the price is because it's a laptop, you could build a desktop machine with these specs for half the price.

Of course most users love their mac so it also functions as a companion for them. The magnatized power cord is a decent idea, but really why can't people just use the laptop in a place where you can plug it in where no one can step on it. Mac, we know our users are not bright, so we plan for it (seems to be what Mac is saying). Plus is it really a good idea to have a magnet that close to ones computer.

            Nice system you have there!

Though, your video card's kinda weak for $2000, only 128MB?
Mine's is 256 with 1 Gig of RAM and a 1.6 Ghz AMD Dual Core 64 bit
            processor. It cost me $800.

All, in all, nice machine, and I don't bash macs. You use what you use.

Yeah it costs soo much primarily because it's a laptop. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...and I don't even have it yet. I gotta borrow someone's Firewire though to transfer stuff over....

I also get a remote with it and other stuff. And now I will never have to go to bed. Parents can send me there but I'll sit on the comp hahaha!!!

I can have my comp by my PS2 and connect them in my room to record game play ANYWHERE now. *still very impatient....

                  Re: My NEW COMPUTER!

Eh, I'm a Mac basher just because they overcharge for their 'sleekness'. For two grand, I could buy a cheap laptop to do all my work on the go (who even wants to video edit and such on the go?) and build one HELL of a computer to do the rest. I don't want to play games anywhere but at home, where I have surround sound and a 19 inch widescreen TV with High Def hook up. I'm killing like, nine birds with one stone, and all I'm sacrificing is the ability to play mega awesome ultra intense games on the go and losing a bit of desk space, which would only accumulate trash in the long run.

                  But have fun with it!

                      OK maybe I do.
But I'm just holding it for a friend I swear.

Its because most people think of Mac's mice as only having one clicker.

That's so old school. What next? Hole punched instructions?!

Why would you pay $2k for something that can't even right click?

My Dell inspirion 600m was $1000. But I have gotten so much (portable) use out of it, it was a great investment.

Ummmm....I can't even afford a computer. Meaning I don't even have one now. But my buddy told me he might be able to build me a decent one in this tiny little case for about 300-400 dollars. If I win the lottery, I might take him up on it. Until then, no computer for me.
