I stumbled across this on a google search:

This is not some XBox FPS ********, this is the real deal. An RPG with the Shadowrun name, that takers place in SEATTLE in the year 2057.

    LIKE GOD INTENDED.

Check out their concept art and models. It even has vehicles. VEHICLES!

Man, oh man did this make me hot.

This game isn't even in development though. So if this team was to pitch and succeed....it looks like it would be another 4 or 5 years if not longer since its an MMO.

But it's such an excellent idea. I don't care if I have to wait 10 years for such a game. I've been wanting a Shadowrun sequel that's true to its P&P origins since I had played and beaten the Genesis version when I was 9. A MMORPG Shadowrun would just reek of awesome.

That's the sweet musk of orc.

I haven't been terribly caught up in MMORPGs, but then there's never been one for Shadowrun. I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which I would not play this...I suppose if it were uber-expensive, otherwise I'd be there.

I played the Super NES Shadowrun in days gone by, so this is certainly great news. It's like Lord of the Rings meets Blade Runner.
Despite what you think, I am very, very real.

                    is this real?

                    like OFFICIAL real?

because i'd rock out on xbox live with this.

seriously, i creamed my pants a little.

                      Re: Shadowrun Online

I used to play pencil and paper Shadowrun back in the day. I also had the SNES version of the game. The GMs I used to play with ran a game at some con, and the people at FASA liked their game so much, they were thinking about publishing it. They got a free tour of FASA headquarters, and free books. Then, they went to the Battletech or Mechwarrior (or whichever mech game FASA had) center which was nearby and played that for a few hours. You know, there were actual mech cockpits you could get into and play like that...team-based. I do not know if the place still exists, but I think it does not. Plus, it was really expensive. That's my Shadowrun story of the day.
