    Teknoman!!! XD

I've been waiting years for this to happen. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid.

Set One has episodes 1-14, Set Two has 15-29, and Set Three has 30-43.

Considering how many episodes are on each set for only about $30 each, this is awesome. But the only spoken language is in english it says, but I dunno if any of the episodes were censored when on tv, or if an english dub was never made uncut. Anyone know? You have no idea how tempting it is for me to just buy it now.

It's probably exactly the version you saw on TV.

Even if it wasn't edited, I saw the rating at RS was 7+, you're not gonna get much with a rating like that, maybe some extra blood or a sexual reference. I hope they have outtakes though, few have a good record for awesome outtake tracks(one of the only reasons I watch boring anime).

It seems like they changed a few names. It was funny how Slade was refered to as Nell Carter in later episodes. I'm sure that raised some issues.

Teknoman was censored quite a bit, and a character's gender were changed as well (Effeminate gay guy levin was turned into "maggie"). But it wasnt destroyed in the process like some animes are. Tekkaman's conversion to Teknoman was handled very well, and very respectfully.

And it wasnt Nell Carter, it was Ness Carter

The DVDs use the international dub, rather than the US dub. They use the same scripts, same voice actors. all thats changed are names, such as "Slade" being changed to "Blade", and "Teknoman Gunner" has been changed to "Teknoman Dagger".

hmmm, i dunno what to do. >_<
I found reviews for it on amazon.com, and a lot of them are dissapointed with the DVD sets. Apparently enitre episodes were cut out, shortening the series.

They released Tekkaman Blade II just fine, but reading the reviews for teknoman bothers me.

Hell, at least with shows like Ronin Warriors (english dubs for that were never made unedited) the DVDs at least included the english subs uncut.

No actual episodes were cut out. the total number is down from the original, but thats because in some episodes they have to cut out so much stuff to get it on air, that they ended up combining episodes. Most of the material cut was extreme violence from fight scenes, or nudity (D-Boy/Slade/Blade is not a very modest person)

As far as I know, after Teknoman is released in it's entirety, they'll be releasing the uncut Tekkaman.

I guess I'll wait and see what happens then.

To help tide you over, all of Tekkaman Blade is available fansubbed at boxtorrents.com

it's no substitute for a professional release, but it'll do for now,

I remember the former from my early viewings of the show, back in pfft '97 or something? Minor difference, but very noticeable.
