    Forgotten Foods

Anyone having trouble remembering an obscure food, or having trouble finding any? I've been talking to friends about food lately, and they act as if they never heard of it, because it was discontinued long ago.

    1) KFC Chicken Littles. They were these little biscuit sized chicken sandwiches. VERY cheap, only 99 cents. And no, the one they've "brought back" recently is not what I'm referring to. I am about 90% sure the name of them was Chicken Littles.

    2) Keebler's Pizza Chips. No one I know remembers these... or Keebler making chips ever. Hell, I don't remember any flavors other than Pizza.

    3) Mr. something... candy bar. Not Mr. Goodbar... but something else. It was out around 1991-1993, and came in a purple wrapper was roughly the same size of a Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, etc. Mr.... Mr. something, all I remember was that it was chocolate, nothing more sadly.

    4) Tom's Bacon Cheddar Fries. As in Tom's... the company (Lay's, Lance, etc.) Still around, but a ***** to find, and I love them more than any other chip currently out. (Closest runners up would have to be all flavors of Sun Chips, and Funyuns.)

Frito Burrito's from Sonics. NO ONE remembers them, they were never advertised on the menues and they come and go. Some Sonic's serve them, others don't. It's my favorite fast food out there, and it saddens me because it's rare when I find them, and even more rare when someone else has heard of them.

Doubles. Right there is a restaurant I remember as a kid, and now as far as I can tell they don't exist any more. I remember that there was one next to the old KFC, and I didn't like the chicken there at the time, so I wound up getting the mini corn dogs from the Doubles next door.

Speaking of KFC, this isn't a forgotten food, but did they use to call their chicken breasts something like "Krispy Keels"? I used to call them that, and I'm not sure if that used to be their actual name or I was told that was their name (possibly to avoid saying "breasts"), or if I somehow started thinking that they were called that, much like I had called Hardee's's Hot Ham And Cheese, "Good Boys" (I don't remember that, though; my family says I called them that, because they kept saying "good boy" every time I took a bite out of one when I was little).

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. There's also a couple cereals I haven't seen in a while. There's "Kaboom!", which had a clown on the box and I think was a fruity cereal with marshmallows. I know the cereal pieces were colorful at least.

There's also Chocolate Frosted Flakes. I don't even see the local Wal-Mart selling that. Was I the only one who liked those?

Also, there was one popcicle-like treat I remember having years ago. They were flavored and the container/whatever was shaped like a sausage link. Still linked together.

How about Burger King's orginal fry forumla?

When they changed their fries to those god awful cardboard fries, I was heartbroken. Their orginal fries were the best!

BK fries taste like ass now.

I miss planter's PB crisps (Dave would always freak out when I brought a bag home) and those old "magic middle" keebler cookies that were filled with chocolate.

I third the BK fries tasting like ass.

I also hate that several companies followed suit, such as DQ and KFC.

I love their fries still. At least they're crispy.

Chilli Cheese Wrap. It was on the menu at the new Sonic I worked at.

I ate one that got made by mistake. It was pretty good.

As for long gone foods, I miss Red-Line Burgers. They had this little high-rise take out only (with benches outside) place in the parking lot of Toys R Us. It was a good meal.

I'm still a fan of BK fries.

You know what I miss? Dunkaroos. Like cheese and crackers, but with sticks and chocolate frosting.

I still have some old packaging from OK soda, because they had underground cartoonists illustrate the cans/bottles. The soda was crap.

                            Twix Cookies & Cream
Oh god, I used to be in love with those when I was a kid! I wish they would bring them back.

                            Thumb Suckers
I remember winning a bunch of those as prizes at Fiesta one year, back in the early 90's.

They are missing PBcrisps, Body Smart fruit chews, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cereal (aka CRACK in a box), and a few others.

What I really, REALLY miss is Crush Tahiti Treat.

It was a cherry orange soda, and it made the most fantastic floats and milkshakes ever. EVER!!!

It left store shelves sometime when I was a teenager.
