Re: Good news about PS3?
If it was Ninja Gaiden 2 I'd be impressed. Or if Ninja Gaiden Black wasn't on the 360 backward compatible list. But as it stands, even though it'll have some added content and improved visuals, it's still the same game that you can get for $20 on Xbox/360 right now rather than waiting a good while (it's only 25% complete) for the $60 PS3 version.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 09-21-2006, 01:26 PM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I personally don't see why they're making Rachel playable in their [possibly bland] remake. The story in Ninja Gaiden was almost non-existant. It's like giving the player another perspective in watching some guy take a #1.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."

Ninja Gaiden is a wonderful game, but have you heard Itagaki talk? He is so pompous, and he puts down all these other developers - putting them down for REHASHING MATERIAL - and then what does he do? Makes Dead or Alive 4 Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. Ninja Gaiden Again.
Actually, Ninja Gaiden Again is a pretty great name.

Re: Good news about PS3?
SCEA told 1UP that the price drop in Japan for the 20 GB version of the PlayStation 3 is exclusive to that territory and that the scheme for the U.S. pricing of the console would remain identical. $499 for the 20GB version of the console and $599 for the 60GB SKU. However, as previously reported, both versions now have HDMI. (Link) The new JP price for the 20 gig PS3 is approx. $426 so it's a pretty good cut too bad it's not coming here.
But apparently Sony can't kiss you on one cheek without slapping the other. The higher-end PS3 will go for a set $599 stateside, but will carry an "open price" in Japan--meaning retailers can charge whatever price they like. Given that there will be only 100,000 units available on day one in the country, that price is likely to be quite high. (Link) Considering how retailers like to bundle to drive up prices at console launches with free reign to set their own price it's going to get painful.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 09-22-2006, 10:38 AM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!
