Reggie convinced me (Wii mature content)

    http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/200...heft-nintendo/

I feel better about Nintendo knowing they're actively reaching out to publishers for all content, including M rated games. Now, I don't care what you say, Nintendo still has a kiddy image to overcome, and one or two games isn't going to change that. You have to understand why I felt the way I did since Nintendo had a history of turning away developers that didn't make games the way they wanted to see them made. Still, it's nice to know that the effort is there, and hopefully we should see the effects of this in the coming years. I'm all about the Wii60 now.

Now, I still don't think the Wii can come close to matching the 360 in RPGs or online play (and just overall sound and graphics production value), so I'm not going to stop playing my 360 anytime soon. I am more open to Nintendo, though, and while I probably still won't be getting a Wii at launch (still too expensive for just Zelda), I'll be getting one probably in Spring of next year, and I hold less of a grudge against Nintendo.

    What's this Wii60 stuff?

It looks good, and I suppose it would be fun to beat down prostitutes with a Wiimote.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

They already have an RE in the works and that original survival horror game so there were going to be some mature games either way but pursuing Take Two, which is the poster child of evil videogames to the anti-game conspiracy, shows that they really want all the developers.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I am still not convinced that nintendo has a kiddy image to overcome. ...at least they don't for me.
But this is great news because most of my favorite M games (Conker, Eternal Darkness, RE1 remade, RE4) were Nintendo games. Damn I wish they'd do another Conker or ED....

Rare owns Conker, and there have been a few for the Xbox. Rare also owns Eternal Darkness, and if a sequel is made, it will be for the 360.

Rare owns Eternal Darkness?! I thought that was Silicon Knights.

thanks for the info Valkysas. Where any of the xbox's conkers good (and I mean platform jumping with tons of comedy along the way good)? I was under the impression that the snes' Donkey Kongs were coming to the Virtual Console. Could this show some renewed Rare support for Nintendo you think? Or is Rare (and why) xbox exclusive?

Conker Live & Reloaded was a remake of Bad Fur Day with more content (online multiplayer and a new chapter) so it stands to reason it'd be at least as good.

Nintendo owns DK since he existed long before the games Rare made for him but they don't have any claims to Rare's original properties.

                      Microsoft bought Rare in 2002.

So Nintendo owns Donkey Kong and Microsoft owns Diddy Kong?

but i like the games with both Donky and Diddy

but this can't be true because both characters are in Mario Tennis (on the GC) which must've come out after RARE got bought by Msoft, right?

Oh, I thought rare did eternal darkness. sorry.

Wii60 means someone is buying the Wii and the 360, and completely ignoring the PS3.

Rare created Diddy but I think he'd still qualify as a Nintendo property because he's based on Donkey Kong. Diddy is in Nintendo games that aren't made by Rare so I guess that's how it works. But Rare is making Diddy Kong Racing DS so MS isn't forcing them away from Nintendo altogether but that's probably because they're not in the portable market yet.

They aren't doing everything right. They've been promoting the Wii as a full family or group of friends experience but only a couple of Nintendo's games are 4 player. Not a big deal but it is a little disappointing. Then again, you won't have to worry about shelling out $180 for three more remotes and nunchuks.
