    Blue Dragon

    http://www.xboxyde.com/news_3483_en.html

No random battles, great presentation, quick fights, deep menu system...this already has me reminiscing about the old school Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger. It's going to take way too long to get to the states, but it sure looks nice.

Plus, Microsoft said they're bundling it damn near free with the core for the holiday in Japan. It should be interesting to see if that has any effect on the Japanese gaming public.

Oh, and here's Trusty Bell as well. Looks nice!

    I probably want it.

      Looks interesting.

If it plays similarly to Chrono Trigger, that would be awesome.

I'm sure they'll port all this to the PS3.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Considering that Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey are published and fully funded by Microsoft, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of these being ported.

Seems like first and second-party games are going to be the only exclusives this generation and probably from now on.

With the increasing development costs of games, yeah, that's pretty much a given. Any company who isn't tied down will go multi-platform, especially between 360 and PS3. But, like I mentioned in this case, these games are published by Microsoft which makes all the difference. Does that make them 2nd party games?

                    looks cool.

but warping to a different area for the battle rather than fighting where you were just at is a little old. I want it more like chrono trigger at least, or even better would be to make them into action RPG's where I have to actually run around and attack/evade.

I could be completely wrong but my understanding is 2nd party is when the console company published, produced, or otherwise majorly funded the game. So they didn't actually make it themselves like a 1st party game but it still couldn't have been made without them.

OMG! Lost Odyssey looks too freakin' cool!

UPDATE: Blue Dragon got a 9/9/9/10 for a grand total of 37/40 from Famitsu. I believe da blue bomb drops Friday.

If Trusty Bell plays and has the same quality of Tales of the Abyss then it will be a really good rpg.

I am really looking forward to Blue Dragon.
