Looking for the theme song, but I can't find it. Can anyone hook me up?

I just replayed the entire game yesterday. I'm trying to get a better score on the moon level. ^^

My favorite tune is "lonely rolling star."

That'd be great Glueme. :D

I was able to find Lonely Rolling Star first, actually. It's amazing how many small nuances you can find in that song if you listen closely, like the guy chanting "Lonely rolling lonely rolla" towards the end at the slow part. :)

I also love "YOU ARE SMART!" and the other one that starts off with guitar, then sounds like a bunch of bleeps and bloops in outer space (has some airy type voices in it as well).

It's funny how catchy the soundtrack is. My friend heard one song while watching me play one level, then went out and purchased the game the next day.

It's not for everyone though... I let my girlfriend's friend borrow it, and he's a big, no, HUGE DBZ nutjob. He took one look at the game and said "What the hell is this?" basically. I'm still trying to get the game back from them! :( I miss it sooooo much.

I can't pick a favorite. I like A Crimson Rose and a Gin Tonic. And Getsu to Oji.

And check it, I found LYRICS (http://imagedepot.homestead.com/files/katamari_lyrics.txt)! Not to all the songs, though.

:lol Cool, now I'll have to get translations!

Katamari isn't for everyone, that's for sure. The friend I mentioned before is the one who lived in Japan and is planning on going back there once he starts his own law practice. Maybe I can get him to translate the lyrics for us.

I have a girlfriend (one of my housemates is dating her) that I test out games on from time to time. She is not a gamer and doesn't own any systems (strict upbringing/parental issues). A clean slate!

So far, she has enjoyed Gitaroo Man, Super Bust a Move, and Katamari! :D She instantly picked up on the controls and was kicking major butt, rolling up everything in sight. She mentioned that she LOVED the music, and coming from a classical music major, that's pretty damn cool.

Also, she now wants a PS2.

I'VE CORRUPTED ANOTHER ONE!

Lonely Rolling Star is my favorite as well, however the whole soundtrack is great in general.

Damn, I need to play this game. I never even heard of it until about a month ago. I usually love quirky games like this.

Don't have MSN.

You are always so difficult. :p

I think MSN and AIM are both free, so I'm sure you can figure something out.

Denmo

Glueme, you used to have AIM, why not just use that?

Since I have MSN messenger and ICQ, maybe Gloomy can send it to me. Then I can send it to Nix over ICQ, and she can send it to Dave over yahoo messenger, and he can send it to Den over AIM. ****, it seems so easy now.

My boss was helping fix one of my databases when he mentioned that he always passes by my desk and admires the desktop background (a lovely KD image of the katamari behind cows from Namco's site).

Then we started talking about the game, and our favorite/least favorite levels.

It was cool, I had no idea he played video games at all. He mentioned that he was "addicted to it" for a while, and I said I just got through playing it all again a few days ago.

Hooray for NERDS!!
