Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

^ Holy gramatically correct sentence, batman. Try to parse that sentence before you look inside.

When you're done with that, try to figure out the meaning of these garden path sentences:

    Fat people eat accumulates.
The player kicked the ball kicked him.

    Answers:
"The fat eaten by people accumulates."
"The player to whom the ball was kicked kicked him."

Can you come up with any garden path, buffalo-esque, or otherwise entertaining sentences? Or do you know any good ones? Let's hear them.

    One more for good measure:
    "Who polices the police?"
    "The police police."
    "Who polices the police police?"
"Police police police police police police."

Edit: Crap, the topic title should be "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." (2nd to last buffalo should be capitalized), but I can't edit it. A little help, adminey-poo?

    Fixed.

WOO! This topic is not popular.

      Anyway, I made one up:
"The bully laughed at mistakes his peers frequently for enemies."

This stuff is PRICELESS. You people have to click that Wikipedia link and scroll down and read this stuff.
          Keep the change.

              Yes!

That post would have been a lot more difficult to read if, in the highlighted part, you had forgotten to put spaces between 'Fish' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'And', 'And' and 'and', 'and' and 'And', 'And' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'And', 'And' and 'and', 'and' and 'And', 'And' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', 'and' and 'and', and 'and' and 'Chips'.

IRC, I would spend some time figuring yours out if I didn't think you just mashed your fists into your keyboard.

Also, here's a new one I just thought of:
"When the vicious dog attacks your child feared happen, run."

Edit: Ugh, what happened to the tongue guy.

Tom, when playing a game of scrabble against Dick who, whilst pondering the degree of legitimacy the last word that Harry (who had had 'had') had had had had, had had 'had', had had 'had'. Had 'had' had more letters, he would have played it again

This one confuses me a bit. Anyone else?

The first sentence is pretty confusing. Take it in parts:

A = Harry (who had had 'had')
B = The last word A had had
C = The degree of legitimacy that B had had
D = Dick, who while pondering C, had had 'had'
E = Tom, when playing a game of scrabble against D, had had 'had'.

Substitute things in and you've got the original sentence

Well, there's a Japanese tongue twister that reminds me of these.

"Sumomo mo momo, momo mo momo, sumomo mo momo mo momo no uchi."

A Japanese plum is a kind of peach, a peach is also a peach, both Japanese plum and peach are kinds of peaches.
