And this is all RPGM gets? A dinky little topic? Come on, people, if it weren't for RPGM coming here (and Agetec for deciding to bring it), there wouldn't be an RPG Maker Pavilion!
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
I fondly remember rpg maker 1. Oh, I love that game.
My first rpg maker game was called Book of Evil. Before I keep going, remember that I was about 13.
It dealt with an aquaintance of mine, named Ash, who I kinda despised at the time. He was generally annoying in real life, and didn't wash, to boot. In the game, Ash had found a copy of the necronomicon, and used it to grant himself wishes. He got a spaceship with a giant laser beam, and a big evil army of demons. He also brainwashed some of my friends.
As the game played out, my friends and I had to stop him. We ended up flushing ourselves down a toilet, at one point, to get to the town sewer system. We used the sewer system to sneak in (through a toilet) to Comic Quest, our local card-game and RPG place, which was being held hostage by Ash's armies. Along the way we fought Kraken.
Somewhere in all of this, my friend Andres used himself as a sacrificial bomb, yelling the words "Eat spaniard!" as he blew up the demon cyclops taskmaster that was in charge of the lower ranks of the armies.
Oh god, those were good times.

Well, no. No, it wasn't. I have no idea what his real name was.
He dressed up as Ash from Pokemon the first few times I saw him (oh man, he was annoying, and the more I think about him, the worse his memory gets), and said I should call him Ash.
He later told me his name was Chris, but judging from his status as a Resident Evil fanatic, I doubt that was true either.
I've heard his real name was Scott, but none of us really know.

I remember it was an EGM review that I first found out about RPG Maker. I think it was the October issue.

RPGMaker1, to me, represented HOPE. I'm really happy about this community that formed because of it, and the experiences and games we've shared. Here's to even more years!
I remember looking at a picture in Playstation Magazine, then it said "RPG Maker". I was so stoked on the idea. In my days of RPGM1 I had no idea of this friggin place and had made enough games that I could fully count with barely one had.
By the way, scratch my previous post, I believe RPGM2 came out in October... I need to find out, so then I can be like one of two poeple that wishes it a happy birthday.
Errr, crap.
I meant to say october XD
I typed november because my birthday is in november, and my parents gave me the money for it as an early present. I was thinking november, but I meant to type october. x.x
