Restore my faith in american music.

I gave up on american music long ago. 2 years ago, I wound up throwing my radio in the trash. I'm sick of everything being super poppy, rampant growling being considered lyrics, and that emo ****... dont even get me started on that ****ing emo ****.

I'm sick of it all. I dont want music by people who think they're deep thinkers or that they're the only ones in the world that have problems, or just stick the microphone into their mouth and then scream about how their dads screwed them over.

Is there ANYTHING good left? ANYTHING AT ALL?

    Ted Leo!

"I just don't know, man. I'm falling apart. The new Kelly Clarkson single, "Since U Been Gone" (which I first thought was going to be a Prince cover, which I then thought would be a smart move on her part, but which thought I was quickly then disabused of, but which disabusing I was not upset by, because I sucked into the damn hook immediately), is unarguably good. No -- stop it -- don't even try! It's unarguable. I see early retirement staring back at me from the reflection in the pickups on my guitar. "

Oh, wait, he's not Canadian, is he?

Glad to see you're enjoying Clear Channel being in the process of buying everything out and the FCC attempting to let full monopolies form.

Why place so much importance on American Music? Just listen to what you like.
            ...and that's why.

Well, I need somewhere to start. There's plenty of American bands that I like. What do you listen to?

              (Isn't Leo Welsh, KJ?)

But Japanese and especially anime music can be **** too. There's **** EVERYWHERE.

But since America is BIG and constantly IN YO FACE it has the most amount of **** I guess.

                    American music I enjoy:
                    Lots 'o movie soundtracks
                    Radiohead
                    A Stephen Hero
                    ...uhhh...

my personal tastes are pretty open. if it's good, I listen, regardless of genre.

and I cannot stand most japanese music. even what most people consider to be good.

                        I'll toss out a few.

I guess for american artists I'd recommend-

                        Beck
                        Primus
                        Ministry
                        They Might Be Giants
                        The Reverend Horton Heat
                        Built to Spill

                        Groups/singers from other countries-

                        Air
                        Portishead
                        Bjork
The Prodigy (the techno guy, not the rapper)
                        Royksopp

I have a number of albums from these guys. If you want me to send you some of their songs, let me know.
                        Eat Smello.

I don't know what your definition of emo is, and I'm pretty sure these guys(for the most part) aren't, so check these bands out.

                            Sparta
                            Interpol
                            Placebo

And check out Queens of the Stone Age. Their new stuff kind of sucks, but their first two albums aren't that bad.

I just listen to classic rock, but that doesn't seem like your sort of thing, Valk.
