    World War Z

Has anyone else heard about this book? It's described as an "oral account of the Zombie War". It's pretty interesting. It basically takes a 100% serious look at what would happen if a Zombie plague broke out Romero-style. However, it's written through fictional oral accounts of various survivors.

I'd seen good things written about it, so I picked it up. It's really quite interesting. If you're expecting to see a bad horror plot you'll be surprised. Honestly, there isn't a lot of gore in it (there is some). There's a lot of allegory, though, as you watch government break down, militaries fail, and countries bicker among themselves in the midst of this panic.

I guess Brad Pitt's production company has already optioned it as a film. I'm not sure I could see it as a film, but I do think that seeing the Battle of Yonkers and the Battle of Hope would be interesting to see on the big screen.

Oh, and the odd thing about it? Mel Brooks's son is the author.

Same author as The Zombie Survival Guide, right?

I guess I'll check it out, but I was kinda dissapointed in I Am Legend.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I saw someone with the book two days ago. Looks cool, but I gotta read Max Brooks' first zombie book first.

You don't really need to read the survival guide to get World War Z, survival is exactly what it says it is. Just set's up the rules and guidelines of Brooks' zombies.

The book is very well written, as the subtitle would imply it's told using the structure of fake interviews. Each character speaks with a unique voice, even if they do sometimes sound a bit prose-ish.

I hope they keep the renegade chinese sub in the film, and the international space station. The part about the US K9 Corps made me

Edit:What does I Am Legend have anything to do with this book IRC???

"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."
