I really got into Rayman 2 for the 64 back in the day. I skipped over 3 since it looked mediocre. But so far I am interested in the franchise again.

The only thing I don't get though is that, is it just a party game, or does it still have some good ol' platforming?

Anyways though yeah, check the trailer, it looks pretty sweet. It even has the Pulp Fiction music.

Sorry, no platforming, it's confirmed to be a collection of mini-games. Might still be worth a rent though.
