Can u Cook?

Ok was just wondering how many of us cook/bake/etc...
I love doing it basically because I love eating and then I can eat as much as I want of whatever I make.

Just yesterday I baked a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and I made hamburger helper. I know some stuff like hamburger helper may not be cooking cooking but nobody except like grandparents cook from scratch any more. I do make a mean beef strognoff from practically scratch though.

Not really. I can throw a pizza in the oven or make mac 'n cheese, that's about it. My bf can cook though.

I bake better than I cook. I specialize in sugar cookies and cake, and recently took a cake decorating course. I figured it was worth it since my family and friends are always asking me for birthday cakes.

As for cooking, I'm mostly a disaster. I can make a few things really well, but I just don't have a large arsenal of recipes, so I need to expand on that.

I got a deep fryer so I cut potatoes and make my own french fries. I love doing that and then cooking some carne asada and making california (carne, french fries, and guacomole) burritoes. ....I love eating too. Mainly mexican.

Yes, I can. Like Renamon I perfer to bake but I also enjoy the accomplishment of making something big and complex like a lasagna

I worked in a bakery. I can make lots of delicious baked goods as well as pizzas from scratch.

Though, I can bake one mean chocolate cake.

My speciality is a standing rib roast. I cook it almost exactly the opposite of everyone else, by slow-cooking it first and then blasting it with heat. Keeps the juices inside.

I can cook things that have the instructions on the package. That's about it. My few attempts at baking have usually resulted in burnt food. So I guess the short answer is No.

I know how to cook a lot more stuff now, thanks to my "iron chef" housemate. She helped me out with a lot of basic tips and info. Although I rarely have the time or inclination, I can cook a lot of different (although fairly basic) stuff.

Early this year, I cleaned and prepared an entire turkey all by myself! That was probably the most difficult thing I've cooked thus far, but it turned out great and was a big hit.

I like to bake, but I tend to have less success with brownies and cookies. Cakes and cupcakes usually turn out alright.

I wish I had a better kitchen and more time. I'd cook a lot more often.

I used to love to cook...only now, living by myself, it seems like a waste of time to cook a big meal to eat by myself and not share with anyone. My two specialties are chili (made in a crock pot) and lasagna.

Almost every time I try to cook something I get sick.

Since I got my own place, I cook everything myself. I don't eat out at all unless Funk drags me somewhere which has only happened 4 or 5 times in the last year.

I like to experiment. I make all kinds of weird stuff. I basically mix whatever I have and hope it turns out good. Like putting corn and ground turkey into mac and cheese, or adding salsa to spaghetti sauce. Both seem to be excellent dishes.
