Finally got it today. Gwommy and I co-oped the story mode on normal difficulty for a few hours. Seemed pretty easy but a lot of fun. The characters are hilarious and still off the wall. I was afraid the game was going to be more serious but it may be even more wacky than Timesplitters 2. Plus, you can play online! Haven't tried that yet, though. Overall I'm liking it so far, but how it measures up to its predecessors only time will tell, pardon the pun.

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Darn it, I KNEW there was a game I wanted today. Finishing up at Wal-Mart, and suddenly I thought "Maybe I can get a new game today. Nah, there's nothing I want right now anyway." I so very want this game.
No doubt the multiplayer will be awesome, as that's always been the best part of the TimeSplitters series. But what about the map/scenario maker? Is it vastly improved over the one found in TS2? I think I read that you can finally make outdoor areas, so that's a big plus right there."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
I heard that while the mapmaker was improved, it wasn't all the magazines hyped it up to be. Meaning, they took some some awesome features out.
AFAIK, you can remove the roofs from rooms and plant some weather effects, but that was it.Last edited by Crimson Knight; 03-24-2005, 09:05 AM.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Yeah, the mapmaker didn't seem vastly different, but it seemed to be all there from the last game and then some. You no longer have to screw around with matching red to red and blue to blue: they all just connect. There are five themes now, and they look better than the last game. Yep, the weather effects and remove roof options are in. I like it better, and it is what it is: if the magazines hyped it up too much then that's their fault, not Free Radicals'. There are plenty of fun new things to mess around with and more space to do it in.Lil' Bean is here!

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
I've heard of butchering cows, but that one challenge was rediculous.
Haven't played the story mode yet, but I'm really enjoying the arcade mode and mapmaker mode. The mapmaker mode is totally awesome, too. And WOW, this game has vehicles and remote-controlled cats! I liked how they made one of the sample maps a race course. I wonder how many other people will do that."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
I got the game today and got pretty far into the story mode.
It is very funny!
Time to Split!
I think the map maker is really improved, though I still suck at making them. Got to practice more.
Online is a little laggy, but still very enjoyable.
I alreay downloaded some people's maps, and they are very good.

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
yeah, i havent even played the regular game yet, just working on making levels. I did one crazy psycho level that i might upload, its probably very poorly designed, but with a full map of people, it would be psychoticVita, 3DS, PSP, PS3, PC, WiiU, Wii & 360
Intel Core i5, Radeon HD 5870, 8gig ram
Anticipating: Warriors Lair, Dragon Crown, Ratchet, Xillia, Rune Factory 4, and more!

Re: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Played story mode, in mission 3. It's pretty good so far; a definate improvement over the story mode of TS2. Funny, too. Too bad I missed my chance to find that key to unlock that guy's "friend" (or maybe I was supposed to shoot that barrel, even though he said I shouldn't). I didn't know that one round room was an elevator.
Mapmaker, still fun. Especially when I make stupid maps, like this one with little platforms suspended over a mine field. All those explosions! My biggest problem with the mapmaker is that stackable rooms can only be stacked on other stackables of the same size and the "death room". I tried placing a suspended platform with more stacks above it, and the first stack room above the platform still had a floor. And those small stacks take up a lot of memory if there's a lot of them; it would be helpful if I could have a big stackable on one level and some small stacks on top of it, but again, the small stacks wind up having floors.
Arcade League is fun, but the difficulty is inconsistant. I'll have a ton of trouble getting a gold in one and find myself with a platinum on the first try in the next.
BTW, I noticed that if you're driving in a vehicle, you're invincible to Virus. You can mow right through the infected players without getting infected yourself.
Out of curiosity, is there a way to turn down the voices the characters make when you choose them? They're so dang loud."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
