I did this competely on my tablet. (just to see if I could).
I used this picture to test out the "multiply" layering technique.

What do you think? :)

I used layers!
I did line art then colored it in with "multiply" turned on.
I figure if I diddle with the opacity settings I might be able to pull off that technique where all the outlines are matched to the fill.

Yes it was done in photoshop.

I don't tell people this very often but the Infinity Dragon is produced by interlocking a "T," an "S," and an "M," then styleizing it.

The T, S, and M stand for (you guessed it)The Staffmaster. :p

but yeah. I've done better. Still pretty good for just a tablet though (I think)
Compare it to this Gaia Avvi art I did for my girlfreind (a peice I scanned in):

You need to work on foreshadowing. In both pieces the girl's right hands should be bigger, because they are closer to the viewer. Learning this technique will help sell your pictures.

Also, on the first picture, the line weight on the face and hair is way thicker than the weight on the rest of the body. This makes the picture look strange. It's okay to have varing line weights, and it often helps pictures a lot, but the weights need to be consistant. Like have all the border be one thinkness, and the details another. The way you have it now just doesn't work.

Hope that helps.

Foreshortening. I'm sure that's what he meant.

yeah, "foreshadowing" is what you do in novels.

That post was written late last night after a hard day of work. Forgive me my transgressions. I vow to never confuse word for another again. Ever.

Anyway, foreshortening (http://www.drawsquad.com/lessons/less1a.html)

But going Chicago style is just as good.
