Well looks a lot better than the revamp of bomberman. Looks like it might be decent, since in a platformer the story really isn't all that important, as this one is about as formulaic as they get. But it looks to me from the video that the gameplay will be more than just jumping at things. Of course I haven't played Sonic since Sonic and Knuckles, so I don't know what the 3D games were like, but this one looks worth checking out.

It's visually pretty fantastic. I can't believe that new Eggman. Apparently they're tapping into Sonic the Movie with the inclusion of the princess.

But if Shadow is so fast, why does he need a motorcycle? And this honky hedgehog is bulldink. They give Tails and Knuckles the boot, so these shmucks are our new characters?

And what about Blaze the Cat? She's cool, and the only positive female role model in the Sonic franchise - she's not a dependent push-over like Amy, or a slutty spy like Rouge.

If it has any decent level design, I'll give it a shot, but I doubt that.

I also realized playing Sonic 2 a while ago that I much prefer the silent storytelling of the Genesis games to all this razzmatazz. No text or voices. You SEE Tails and Sonic in the Tornado and you know they're a team. You SEE Knuckles chase after Eggman and you know that he's been tricked. Of course, in this age, I'm pretty sure that method is dead.

I'd much more appreciate a side scrolling sonic with super crisp vector-based sprites going super fast and totally insane. But whatever.

I agree with Kefka and Mora. The Princess angle is fab and Sonic and Eggman look terrific but..............yeah.

Its good time to be a Sonic fan I guess. I am looking more forward to Wildfire just because its just Sonic. But I think this one looks pretty good too.

Well no matter which way you slice it, tons of people will be dissapointed, either by the throwback to the classics or the perfection of the 3D model. So I just hope it's fun and simple. Shadow the Hedgehog managed to be pretty close to what a hybrid of Sonic and Halo would be. That game was kind of fun.
