Regarding the original topic of animals doing what animals do, back when my wife and I were dating, I bought her a parakeet. That thing used to hop on top of a wheel-type toy in the cage and work it, with one wing up in the air for balance (like a cowboy riding a bull). First and last parakeet I will buy.
