    Mario Hoops 3-on-3

I was doing some research on Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for the DS, and it looks pretty good so far. Surprisingly enough, the game was developed by Square Enix.

It's supposed to come out next Monday, and I'm planning on picking it up when I have the time. My friends and I were having a lively discussion on it a few nights ago, saying how fun it'd be to get some 4-on-4 DS court competition going on. I also hear that you can unlock some Final Fantasy characters, too.

Anyone else planning on picking it up as well?
Despite what you think, I am very, very real.

It interests me. When does it come out? Today?

There, there, my friend. In time, you'll have them in your possession.

Time for PAX reference number 213...

Got to play the demo for this there... and I'm not all that impressed. I can't imagine playing this with both the stylist and control pad very well at all. Since it was awkward to play it even on the stable booth with seat. The graphics were pretty good though... guess it's got that going for it. Then again you can say that about every Square Enix (Squaresoft) game ever created.

Out of all the Final Fantasy characters possible you pick Kimahri? Really? Well.. okay.

Anyways, I kind of got burnt out after mario soccer. Nintendos really stretching it with the mario sports titles.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

I'm still not sure what Mario Strikers even is. It's mostly like Football/Soccer but then it's kinda not. It's like Soccer and Volleyball had a baby.

Perhaps a Moogle would have been a better choice?

But Kimahri is one of the two best characters in FFX. He talks to LITTLE!

So far I like it. The play mechanics are nice, but it seems to be missing a bit more complexity I enjoyed in NBA Street. I do, though, like that I can use 3 signature characters and not just 1, like in Mario Soccer (I REALLY hate that, makes it boring after a while). The first tourney was way too easy, but I'm sure it'll get harder.

Lack of wi-fi really hurts though. This is a game I really wish I could play online, and as many of you know, I don't have friends with DS's.

Ah, it appears you have the game already! I won't be able to pick up until next week. I'm glad you like it so far.

Try to unlock the Final Fantasy cameos while you're at it.
