Crimson Knight and I talked last night, and somewhere in the middle of all of it I realized I can't export Anormia and have other people play it... it's on 2k3, and I own 2k3 legit, but you guys don't.. and you need it in order to play it. This puts me at a huge wall. A wall I'm not really too happy about.
CK talked to me about RPG Maker 2, which I own but never really worked with, and explained some of the idea behind VFX to me. I think I may be able to work this out within the confines of RM2.
At least RM2 will give me limits to work with. 2k3 supports custom music and custom art, and as I am a musician, I intended to do all the music for the game. I also was trying to get 100% custom sprites made.
This was not working. Period. I was being overwhelmed and was on the edge of nervous breakdown from having to work with this entire game mostly by myself. I think... I'd rather just work within the confines of rpg maker 2, and prove that I can make a good game within those confines.
This probably means you'll be getting a demo a lot quicker, so I guess it works out well for any of you that actually are looking forward to this.
