I think input from all of you would be a good thing. What do you want? What do you NOT want? I'll post some ideas of my own here soon, but I'd like to hear it from *you*.

It'll happen. I want to have the convention happen around the same time a new RPG Maker is coming out, and have people able to demo the software there.

Valk, I'm staff at a lot of midwestern anime cons (Ohayo, Sugoi, Anime Punch, ex-Ikasu staff, ex-ACEN staff), so I have a decent amount of experience in getting stuff like this to run. If you need staffers, I'm up for it.

From what I gather, this is probably going to be both. I'm thinking maybe we should implement just general gathering space, and maybe some friendly video game tournaments for non-rpg stuff, in addition to the obvious RPG Maker related panels etc.

I dunno... all I know is if you abbreviate Convention, should do the same for Pav. PavilionCon sounds... too much. I think PavCon would be a better name.

Assuming Valk even wants to call it AnythingCon to begin with.

It was originally going to be called Tsukurucon back when plans started in 2004/2005, but the PC RPGM community stole the name from us for an online convention this year.

Have they copyrighted it? If they haven't, and they don't go through with it anytime soon, you'd think we, being an officially endorsed RPGM site, could make some move to take the name back.

Sadly, I doubt I can make it unless its summer of 09 or later. Unless its within driving distance of Coon Rapids, MN theres no way I'm going to get to go when I'm under 18.

They held the online convention over the summer.

Despite us having the name first, I dont want a bunch of drama coming from them when this thing happens.
