Disapointed in the Xbox 360 so far.

The title says it all. To be quite honest, I have had a 360 for awhile now and I aint quite sastified. The only games I have really been able to get into are Dead Rising, DOA4, and Prey. But nothing truly seems fresh. When Dreamcast came out I used to play that thing night and day. Maybe the graphical jump was just more impressive then, I don't know. Funny thing is, I was having the time of my life with just Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi. At that time, I never played games like that before.

So yeah, whenever I feel like playing games anymore I usually just reach for my DS or PS2 nowadays. But once I get my threefitty back from the repair center I might pick up Enchanted Arms. Give me an excuse for that 400 dollar 360. Plus Gears of War looks alrite. But at the moment I can't really think of any other games I want for it.

I don't really plan to get a PS3, since I there is really only one game I want to play on it anyways. But I am looking forward to Wii, even though it will probably have a crappy online service, but the games is where it counts, and the games for Wii are looking mighty fine.

So umm yeah, I guess I am a little disapointed so far.

Oh, yeah, the first year launch of a system in middle of the transfer from oldgen to newgen is a clear indicator of the next 5 years of games.

I think the problem is that so far we're still just getting games that are overall the same as the games we've been getting. Maybe better graphics or more content but the same experience. Wii is obviously going to offer some different gameplay by design and, even though I doubt it'll be all that useful in most games, the PS3's tilt function is a least a little something. 360 really doesn't have anything new going so far. Which isn't to say it doesn't have (and will have more) great games, just that if you're tired of those genres already they're not bringing anything new to excite you.

Pretty much what I wanted to say Chuck, but if I did that, it would have turned into another "Why Wii will change the way we play games" speech. And I wanted to avoid that.

Typical response whenever I post my opinion on something. My example for disapointment, I owned FNR3 for ps2 before I got a 360. Rented the 360 version when I got one, same exact game, but with better graphics. (Which is something else I wanted to avoid saying, again.)

I'll just get to the point, I am disapointed with my 360 thus far, and it doesn't really look like anything phenominal for it will be coming out within the next year coming. One game besides Gears of War that I am looking forward to is Fable 2. But who the hell knows when thats coming out.

I am definitly looking forward to Wii, but I just didn't want to make this a "Wii will Conquer!" topic.

I'm not looking forward to flicking my wrist with the wii every few seconds either. I mean just sit there and do it for a bit right now, that's not getting annoying?

Pretty much everything it was hyped to be. I just couldn't stop reading about how sweet the rival system was going to be. And how it was going to do everything like an ESPN show. No product placement.... I thought that all of that was just in place for the current gen editions, thinking that they were going to flesh it all out in the 360 version. I was wrong. So yeah the bottom line, more believable opponent AI, a fleshed out Rival system, overall better presentation is what I expected. Maybe something to seperate it from current editions.
