If you could choose your name...

A post Nixon made gave me this idea. We all have our names chosen for us before or at birth. Well, what if you were eventually allowed to choose your own name, at age whatever? And I mean if it were a normal occurrance in society, not like how it is now where you go to some department to have it legally changed while everyone know thinks you're wierd for doing it. What would you decide to change your name to? Or would you just stick with your current name?

I probably would have gone with my screenname before recently. But lately I kinda figured, the reason I like my screenname so much is because it isn't my real name. If it were, it wouldn't be as interesting. It'd be normal. I've already found myself calling myself Draygone from time to time. I don't need to take it furthur. Besides, "Nathan" isn't really a bad name.

(Incidentally, my mom found out how I was using that name once. She said it was wierd.)

I like my name (Keith) but online, and even sometimes around friends, Zieg is standard.

If I had to pick my name, I would go with Launchpad. No wait, Atticus Launchpad Jack. Atticus for Atticus Finch; Launchpad for Launchpad McQuack, and Jack because it makes all sound cool.

Rufus Spooner is a name I usually go by, I prefer it even.

Usually my peeps call me Rufus or the Spoon. The Utensil.

I'd choose Nixon. It would be both a first and last name (like Wolverine's "logan" alias).

If not that, then I guess I'd stick with YAM. I don't know anybody named YAM.

For a while, due to a paperwork error at work, my boss and all my co-workers thought my name was Ann. It took me a day or so to get used to it, but I let them call me that for about a month. My boss eventually asked me, and I told her it wasn't my first name, but that I really didn't care what they called me.

My real name is Bryan...at least my mom spelled it the way the cool kids spell it...although you would not believe how many people throughout the years have spelled my name Brain...although I tend to take that as a compliment.

I've never been all that fond of Jason or Zepp. Not to meantion that a lot of people put a Y on the end of my last name..Nothing validates your white trashyness more than being called Zeppy..

I saw a dude in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the other day whose name was Clark Gable Kent. I thought that was pretty awesome. Maybe I would choose a name like that. Peter Frampton Parker or something.
