    New to RPG Maker Series

I just picked up both the 2nd and 3rd installments in the series and have already started getting my hands dirty. I've always wanted a way to tell stories through a video game since I was a little kid and now I finally have a tool that will let me do just that! I got the lot of them for only $40; one of them being brand new even. I've only just started getting into RPG Maker 3 and have an assortment of different classes and monsters created, as well as an introduction story teller sequence. I was using my gamepad to input everything for the character classes and monsters, which was a real headache while trying to figure out how to properly balance all the characters and skills at the same time. I finally got a USB keyboard and everything is running much more smoothly now. I put together a rich beginning story to set up my rpg in a couple hours, which would have taken me probably closer to half a week with just the controller. I'm really excited to be able to make my own RPG and share it online with what appears to be an open friendly community. I'll be spending some time going through the FAQ thread of this forum so I don't repeat anything anyone else has asked already and look forward to sharing my creations with all of you and enjoying yours as well

Well you've already won a few friends right there, lol. Sounds like you're getting well settled in RPG Maker very quickly. Welcome to the community and the games.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

      I second what Chuckie says.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

You couldn't have picked a better place to start an amateur game design hobby.
