    lots of questions

I got questions for rpg maker 3.

    1. Can I put a blood and gore effect for the monsters every time you kill
    one?

    2. Is it possible to change the character and monsters colors freely?

    3. Aside from designing maps with 2-D instruction, can I design my own
    character portraits?

    4. Can I use enemy models as party or event characters?

This list might be updated, but 'til then this is it for now.

    Thanks!

    Re: lots of questions

Partial answers (I'm sure others have some ideas)

    1. No.
Alternate option : if your battle is an event battle(not random), you can leave a pile of bones on the ground after the battle takes place. Of course the skeleton option wouldn't work for your insect battles.

    2. No, you are bound by the limitations, sometimes you have several choices, but for the big monsters, you just have one choice.

    3. Not to be used in your game.

    4. No.

I know, lots of negatives, but maybe some other people have some suggestions for alternate options.

Second 4) Nope, the mechanics of the battle system are pretty much untouchable.

        5) As in having more than one file connect? Not by default. You have to use some special trick to do it, and I don't know the details.

        6) For NPCs while wandering around, there's a bunch of them, ranging from waving to sulking to dancing. In battle, every character and monster has five animations at their disposal.

I'm sorry...WHY would you want to??? They are the reason why I stopped playing FFTA...I wanted to throttle that judge! I know...there's lots of other reasons why someone might want to do this within a story, but alas...all you can do is make magic unusable in a certain area.

If you get to a point where you are running out of room, but are not finished with the game, you can save your game data (not save data) onto the next slot. Now, you can remove all of the events from the game that have already passed, and hopefully have room to finish the game. Rename the first (original) game 'Part 1', and the second one 'Part 2'.

Now...when players get to the point where the switch happens, you can give them the message 'END OF PART 1. Please load up part 2 in the editor, and save it over part 1.' When players do this, their character data is carried over to the next part of the game...it's not erased. Even if you save a different game alltogether over that first data, the original save data from the other game will still be there...it won't be loadable, but it will be there. You can actually go on indefinitely doing this, but I think more than 3 parts is pushing it. Also, keep in mind that you'll be rendering all of the parts that you deleted from the previous part of the game inaccessible. It's best to use the same people and places (and maybe even some new ones), but eliminate the big events that have already passed anyway, the boss enemies that have already been vanquished (and the enemy parties that went with them), NPC's that have died in the story...etc. You don't have to do it that way...if a land is supposed to be inaccessible at that point in the game anyway, then by all means delete that map...how you handle that really just depends on the particular story of your game.

There are several different types of animations...there are event animations (coffins opening and closing, and chests doing the same...etc), along with attack animations, spell effect animations, NPC animations...etc. Were you asking about specific ones?

            Yes.
I was wondering if there's a damage effect that almost resembles blood.
If not I'm sorry I asked.

            P.S.
I like the sound of the coffin opening animation...
Makes me wanna do a gothic fantasy rpg!

Can you make something pop out of a coffin, becase I'm on the vurge to make a fantsy-horror rpg.Believe me, I'll do it! I mean sure it won't be as scary as some games(I know a horror-rpg with actual fighting made with RM3
sounds kinda crazy!)but it'll happen.Sure it won't be RE4 or Dracula:Ressurection or American Mc'Gee's Alice but I can at least try right?

                P.S.
This is a comment and a question.

You can shoot a "red fireball" that has splash when it hits... kinda like blood...

Can the splash be separated from the fireball?

RPGM3 is like if you made a game in RPGM1 with only pre-sets.

Mostly because RM3 only has presets...
