Ehhh, I think I'm the only one who doesn't like him. I'm not a fan of slow, stoner comedy that just draaagggsss on with its stonerness.
he's one of my fav comedians.

The guy talks and looks like a man who's constantly intoxicated.
edit: Er. Not as bad as real-life stoner comedian...uhhh...damn... what's his damn slacker name again...? He was on SNL and was ugly as all sin? Sold out real quickly? CRAP, WHAT'S HIS NAME? HE SUCKS. You know who I mean! Did stand-up with a band behind him?!

I don't much care for him. he thinks he's funnier than he really is. he laughs at his jokes, but I don't.

I disagree with Valk. He doesn't laugh at his own jokes, he laughs at himself at times because he's nervous and he when he messes up he laughs at himself. I can understand people not liking him because my roommate calls him Carrot Top without the props, but I think he's funny because he's random and he comes out of left field with his punchlines.
I did not know that at Subway, ducks eat for free. Get me a roast beef with everything, and don't bother ringing it up. It's for a duck.

Hm, I have a lot of things related to Mitch Hedberg, but noting I can exchange 'cos my network has a lot of restrictions.
However, I do recommend his CDs:

I saw him live up in Seattle. His ad lib stuff was the best. He made fun of the stage and the venue and a bunch of random people. Really funny stuff.
I'm actually surprised that anyone wouldn't like him. But, to each their own I suppose.

His delivery is sweet. I don't think he laughs at his own material too much. But Robin Williams does. And I think that's really annoying. For being one of the funniest men alive, I think it would suck to be his friend or related to him. You'd have to constantly look over at him and go "Dammit Robin! Turn it off for five seconds would you?" all the time.

Mitch Hedberg is one of the most unique and funny comics working today. I saw him live in Albany and it was great.

I love Mitch.
I used to remember so many of his jokes.
All I can remember is the one with the frozen banana.

"Okay, you're a cook...can you farm?"
"Everyone keeps saying to me that I don't know how hard it is to stop smoking. Yes I do, it is as hard as it is for me to start flossing."
:lol
Hedburg is one of my favorite comedians ever (and amusingly enough, he reminds me of Highwind, need not ask why :p). I still watch his special from Comedy Central. I also understood why he smiled and laughed on stage, and yeah, it is because he's nervous mostly. I think this because that's just how I am when I do mock stand-up with my friends and family, I laugh and smile to ease a bit of my nervousness. And maybe it's me, but the guy sorta looks like Kurt Cobain, just a tad (I think its mostly the hair). Is it just me?
I wanted to make a topic about him before, but I had a tough time remembering his last name.

Did you watch the full version that was on his CD (mitch all together) or the comedy central edit? If you watch the full version, which is about 30 minutes longer, you'll see that the audience was actually really quiet and he was uncomfortable and annoyed with it, since he knew he was being taped. It's way more funny than the comedy central edit, actually.

It was the comedy central edit, I think. I wasn't aware that there was a "full" version. I'll have to look into it.
Mine is ****ed up and doesn't want to play. I was seriously peeved.
