OK, this occured to me when I was talking about how I was getting too lazy to work on my RPG. What if there was a contest where someone made an RPG for you?

2 members would team up, and the first member would give them as much info as possible on what game they're trying to make. Then, the second member would do the best he/she could to design that game the way the first guy wanted, within a set amount of time.

Games would be rated by the first member on how they thought it'd be, (if it's better or worse) and normally rated by everyone else. It'd be an interesting twist to the normal contests, and after seeing how far their idea went with a good RPG Designer, it could inspire the first guy (if he's lazy like me) to get back to work and finish his RPG.

Comments?

it's an interesting and innovative idea. however due to a general lack of interest, after the current contest wraps up, we're done with them.

WAIT! I am just waiting for my RPG maker 2 to ship in (I ordered it from ebay) and I REALLY wanted to enter a contest. Can there be a poll to see if anyone else still wants to do the contests? I had an idea that was sure to win :) ...please reconsider cancelling the contests. :( :( :(

I'm interested in entering the current contest, I just want to finish my game first. :lol

It'll depend on how the current one goes. there was a lot of community activity in putting it together, but since then there's been no talk of it, and only two games have been entered so far.

I am working hard to finish my game for the contest. :)

Maybe for the next contest, we can just wait for enough people to release new games, and then have a contest. That guarentees several contest entries right off the bat.

Maybe have it be a short game. Like only 15 minutes to 1/2 hour of gameplay or so? This would be a fun contest.

Who'd be interested in doing that, though? I'm sure a few might, but not nearly enough. Most people would want to make their epic games.

It would be hard to make a game for someone else (for me, at least). But I hope the contests don't stop.

EDIT: A 15-30 minute game for someone else, okay, that might be cool.

I'm also hoping to have my game done in time for this upcoming contest too. I've been working steadily on it. I'm at 59% memory capacity now. :)

I was going to enter the current contest, but I have been having a few problems. It might not be finished by the deadline. I don't want to rush through making the game. Bad games are made when you rush. :(

I wanted to enter what I am working on for the contest, but I am only at 25%. I don't think that I will be able to finish it in time...
