    I Hate Moving.

I'm going back to school for the first time in 2 years. Going up tomorrow, and I had completely blotted out the horror of what it is to pack everything up and move along. What's even worse is that my room that I'm renting isn't furnished at all, so I had to go buy a bunch of furniture.

I seem to recall that this is closer to the horror of moving to college my freshman year than moving for the subsequent years. I'll be much happier once I get all my stuff set up (and I get to spend most of tomorrow assembling things like a desk, a chest of drawers, and a chair, whee!).

    Who else hates moving?

    YES!!!

It's a horrible ordeal, especially if you have to move everything yourself. Then you get to pay loads of money for random deposits and other BS.

Whenever we move, my cats will totally freak out for a few days. One will hide forever, the other will quietly hiss and scowl at everything while constantly skulking around.

      Moving really sucks...

I just moved three days ago to a new state. I had to rent a truck, tow my car, pack and unpack all my things. I am still unpacking in my new place. There are very few things that can give you a bigger headache than moving.
Legs to walk and thoughts to fly
eyes to laugh and lips to cry
      a restless tongue to classify
all born to grow and grown to die

I have forgotten how it feels to move: I haven't completely moved in over eighteen years.

Sure, I moved some of my junk into a dorm, but it wasn't much.

Are you kidding? I've probably moved 18 times in 21 years.

You get used to it after awhile. When you do it every year it just becomes one of those things you have to do, like spring cleaning, only on a grander scale.

Do you ever take things out of boxes or do you just leave them be?

Well, about half and half, really. Of course, then you realize that the stuff you never take out of the boxes isn't really necessary anyway, so you just throw it away.
