    Penny Arcade: The Video Game

Penny Arcade is making the giant leap into actual gaming.

I'm not sure about the monthly episodes, but I'm not going to criticize until I see some screens and impressions.

    I probably won't buy it.
    ...and that's why.

hmmm.... I hope it's good? gabe seems to be discriminating in his gaming tastes enough that he wouldn't be satisfied with a crap for crap game.

You figure out some generic storyline plot and then design the levels and stuff featuring characters from the comics. I'm sure they're going to have some cardboard tube sword fighting and the fruit ****er is perfect for a minigame.

It's not that hard. How do you make a videogame from the Simpsons? Same thing really and yet they've done how many Simpsons games? Eight? Nine?

Yeah the two guys behind PA annouced it at their first Q&A session today at PAX. When they did the place went ****ing nuts! Now I agree I'm not going to get TOO excitied till I see something to convince me otherwise. But if they put the effort into it like I know they would. Then I think it would have the making it something very fun.

Also in PAX news... everyone here is ****ing crazy! How so? Today the keytone speaker for the year, Alex St. John (Creator of DirectX), ended his speech by throwing a beachball into the crowd. What then followed can only be described as throw the ball as high as possible. Basically they took the ball out to the main area, a four level place mind you. And proceeded to knock the ball around trying to hit it up to the forth level. All while chanting "All hail the ball!" Meanwhile I'm sitting at the wireless area relaxing while I watch these f--king lunitics go bizerk everytime they get the ball up there...

              It was awesome....

Well, at least this isn't as bad as the Penny Arcade TCG...mind you, I never bought the Penny Arcade TCG, but I somehow get the feeling it isn't good nontheless.
