Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
I enjoyed its simple morals and bizarre menagerie of characters. Why can't they just update the look and give it a little bit more complex story? Did it really NEED to take place on earth/have everyone be teenagers/have a Mumm-Ra with wings/have an Obi Wan Snarf?

Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET THEIR JOBS?!
Seriously: How do such untalented idiotic people get their jobs and/or get away with what they're doing?
I stopped reading at:
"The setting is modern-day Earth, in a major city (possibly LA)
The Thundercats are all teenagers. "
The originality just sky-rocketed so high it almost blew me away.

Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
I tried liking it while it was on Cartoon Network a few years back. It was okay, but it didn't bother me at all when it went back off the air. Maybe if the characters at least had tails."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
I liked stupid shows (Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, SilverHawks, Transformers, TMNT) when I was a kid. Thundercats was weird and different, and the action figures were cool. I never had a single one, but I pined for a lion-o figure for years.
This new idea is horrible. I could come up with something better. ME!!!Eat Smello.

Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
I loved Thundercats when I was a kid...but no way does it stand the test of time. Voice acting was TERRIBLE.
...and who the hell is this cartoon for, anyway??? I can't wait for it to come out...just for the pure train wreck factor. The mutants should be a rival band er something.

Re: Thundercats gets raped for a new generation
The late 70's to early 90's is generally considered the dark ages of animation. It's a time where new shows couldn't be created if they wern't based off an existing property (New Ghostbusters, Alvin and the Chipmunks) or were a package for mechandice (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe). Though there was counterculture and adult cartoons being created at the time the stuff you and I watched is near the worst it ever got.Seriously, that was the golden age when all cartoons were animated in Japan. That show had the best opening animation ever.
