As rumours have started to spread we feel obliged to confirm Jon Nödtveidt's death.
Jon Nödtveidt was a man who lived his life according to his convictions and True Will. A couple of days ago he chose to end his life by his own hands. As a true Satanist he led his life in the way he wanted and ended it when he felt that he had fulfilled his self-created destiny. Not everyone will have understanding or acceptance for his personal path in this life and beyond, but all must respect his choice.


If that's the way he wanted to go, then I respect it.

This was I'm-finished-here suicide. It was part of a ritual, from what I've read on the rest of the dissection site.

The right to decide whether or not you live or die should be pretty basic. No one else should force you to live if there are reasons you feel make life not worth living. I don't see what's unfair about it.

There isn't anything "selfish" about it either. If anything, it's selfish to want someone else to continue suffering in order to provide you with amusement or entertainment. If you really cared for the person, you should realize that they probably have their reasons and are capable of making their own decision.

I don't think suicide is a good thing necessarily, because most people who attempt it aren't in the right state of mind to do so. It's sad when kids get suckered into "emo" culture or some **** to believe that suicide or self-mutilation is hip. But there are situations where a responsible adult would rather die than go on suffering in life and that's when I think suicide is justifiable

I can't stand suicide. I went to this one camp one time, everyone had lost a family member. About 70% of everyone there had lost someone to suicide.

Suicide is actually kinda selfish. People normally kill themselves because they're thinking it ends their pain. It then hurts everyone else who cares about them.

Here's something kinda on the subject too...
You know how at almost every school there's someone who kills themselves because they're so depressed and picked on all the time at school? Then, everyone is like "Oh, I'm so sad that he died, he was so nice, yadda yadda yadda..." Well, if they were so friendly with him, why'd he die? If he was so well-liked he wouldn't really have a reason to kill himself. Any comments?
